Polyethylene Terephthlate (PET)

Throughout this site in the descriptions underneath the photographs, you will notice I use the word PET quite frequently. PET is another word for plastic, which was primarily used from Polyethylene Terephthlate. I am not quite sure when the expression PET was first used in relation to mini bottles but the product was first registered in 1941. This substance was originally used for air travel but can now be frequently found on supermarket shelves.
